Igggy for Mac: Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 17, 2026
Igggy is a Mac app that records meetings and voice memos and writes them into structured notes. It's built to keep your data on your Mac. This policy explains what Igggy reads, where it goes, and how to remove it. The Igggy web app at app.igggy.ai has its own policy at app.igggy.ai/privacy.
What stays on your Mac
Your recordings, transcripts and notes are stored on your Mac, in Igggy's library in your Documents folder. By default, Igggy transcribes and writes notes on your Mac using on-device models; your audio and transcripts aren't sent anywhere.
When something leaves your Mac
Only when you turn on one of these:
- Cloud AI with your own key. If you choose a cloud model (Anthropic or OpenAI) in Settings and enter your own API key, Igggy sends the transcript, and the meeting's title and attendee names if a calendar meeting is attached, straight from your Mac to that provider to write the note. Igggy has no copy. That provider's terms apply to your key.
- An Igggy account. If you sign in (with Google), Igggy receives your name and email and copies your notes, including meeting details, to Igggy's database so you can see them in the Igggy web app. Audio isn't uploaded.
- Google Calendar. See below.
Igggy also downloads speech and language models from Hugging Face and checks for app updates through GitHub. Those requests carry no notes or personal data.
Google user data
If you connect a Google account, Igggy asks Google for permission to:
- View events on the calendars you own (read only), and
- See the list of your Google calendars (read only), from which Igggy reads which of your own calendars you show in Google Calendar, and their colors.
Igggy uses this to show your upcoming meetings, open a meeting's video link, prepare a meeting page with its title, time, attendees and attachments, label the note you record with the meeting's title and attendees, and show each meeting in its calendar's color. Igggy never reads calendars that belong to other people.
- Where it's stored. On your Mac. The sign-in credential Google gives Igggy is kept in your Mac's Keychain. A meeting's title, time and attendee list are saved in the note for that meeting. If you're signed in to an Igggy account, the same meeting details are copied with the note to Igggy's database.
- Who it's shared with. Nobody else, except the AI provider you pick with your own key, as described above, only to write that note.
- What Igggy never does. Igggy never changes your calendar. It never sells Google user data, uses it for advertising, or lets people read it (except if you ask us for help and agree to it, or the law requires it). It never uses Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
- Limited Use. Igggy's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Removing it. Disconnect the account in Igggy's Settings: Igggy asks Google to revoke its access and deletes its saved credential. You can also remove Igggy's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Meeting details already saved in your notes stay there until you delete those notes. To delete what's in your Igggy account, email privacy@igggy.ai.
What Igggy doesn't do
The Mac app doesn't include analytics or advertising. Igggy doesn't sell your data or use your notes to train AI models.
Your choices
Delete any note in the app. Sign out to stop copying notes to your account. To delete your account and everything in it, email privacy@igggy.ai; we do it within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app or on this page before it takes effect.
